Northumberland Rapidplay Championships, 26/11/2017

A 9-round rapidplay tournament open to all members of clubs to Northumberland Chess Association (Bronze ECF membership required).

SECTIONS:         One section for everyone!

ROUNDS:             9 rounds, with 10 minutes each per player plus 5 seconds per move.

TIMING:

Round 1                 11.00 – 11.30                      Round 2                 11.45 – 12.15

Round 3                 12.30 – 13.00                     Round 4                 13.15 – 13.45

Round 5                 14.00 – 14.30                     Round 6                 14.30 – 15.00

Round 7                 15.15 – 15.45                       Round 8                 16.00 – 16.30

Round 9                 16.45 – 17.15                      Prizegiving           17:30

ENTRY FEES    £10 for adults, £8 for juniors under 18, £8 for O.A.P.s age 65 and over.

PRIZES                1st £60, 2nd £40.   Grading prizes each £30 for best performances U170, U150, U130, U110, U90. These grade boundaries may be altered, depending on the number of entries.

Top Senior (65 years and over) £30, Top Junior £30.

The player with the highest score will be the NCA Open Champion for 2017-18. The highest-scoring player graded 140-169 will be the NCA Major Champion, and the highest-scoring player graded less than 140 will be the NCA Minor Champion.

ENTRIES   The closing date for entries is Friday November 24. You can enter in one of 4 ways:
