There is still time to enter this year’s Chester-le-Street Congress, which runs 18-20 August, 2017, at Park View Community Centre, Chester-le-Street.

You can download the entry form here: chester le street 2017 entry form

As an extra incentive to enter, late entry fees are being waived until midnight Thursday 17 August. All entries received by post, phone or email by Thursday 17th April will be at the normal rate. If you turn up on Friday evening without letting the organisers know beforehand, the extra late fee of £5 will apply.

Please send entries to Tim Wall at: 7 Nixon Terrace, Blyth, Northumberland NE24 3EE, email: timpeterwall@gmail.com

or Tel: 0750 372 2366.

Important changes:

After requests from a number of players, all tournaments will now have the same time limit: 90 minutes for all moves, plus 30 second increments per move.

Also, the Challengers (Under 120) tournament is being combined with the Junior (Under 100) tournament, due to a lack of entries in the junior tournament.

Accommodation:

There are some nice pubs not far from the Park View Community Centre, where they offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation.
