The leading scores at the Chester-le-Street Congress, held 18-20 August, 2017, were:
1st= David Walker (Leam Lane), Charlie Storey (Morpeth) 4; 3rd= Nicholas Tavoularis (Leam Lane), Aditya Munshi (Leicester) 3.5; 5th= Daniel Abrahams (Canada), Mick Riding (Tynemouth) 3.
1st= Robert Dean (Pudsey), Robert Clegg (Huddersfield) 4; 3rd= David Patrick (Halifax), Raymond Gamble (Spondon), William Clinton (Scotland) 3.5; 6th David Hall (Scotland) 3.
1st Vivien Webster (Calderdale) 5; 2nd Paul Freeman (Peterlee) 4; 3rd= Weiming Xu, Sai Kumaar, Brian Dann (all Forest Hall) 3.
There were a total of 53 entries. The event was organised by Tim Wall, with the assistance of Paul Robson. Arbiters were Brian Towers, Tim Wall and Paul Bielby.
